Teach Me

Teach me to trust you dear Lord
And be patient to wait on your time
Remind me when I set my clocks
That You make things beautiful in time
Teach me to seek you first, before I strain
Because what is assured is calm to the mind
but waiting is pain for the impatient man
When troubles come and doors shut in my face
Teach me first to run to You
Teach me to wait on your perfect grace
That I may but glimpse your awesome ways
So I thank you in all things, you are faithful
Even though I consistently fail
Teach me to walk daily in your footsteps
Not to stray away, to love You and follow
Teach me, for I know not the way
Teach me, that my lines may find that pleasant place
Teach Me
